I got that a few days ago and received one turbo tax deposit this morning. I think it’s federal only and am still waiting on state.
What does this mean
I got this email yesterday morning & everything is still the same. I talked to a turbo rep this morning and he said “it could’ve been sent out of error but it very well could be your refund is on the way” so idk but I haven’t been able to get off my phone since. I need it real bad. I paid for 5 days sooner so just hoping they’re taking their share and I’ll have it today
@Kgmac222 Only the IRS and your State control when and if a Federal or State tax refund is Approved and Issued.

Check your transcripts. I looked mine up and they says Feb 10 and I got mine 5 days early Feb 5.
Here’s the link login and go to transcripts for 2024. I think I used the second set of transcripts posted for 2024 and found my deposit date of Feb. 10.

How long did it take to receive after you’ve gotten the email?
This is just another false thing by TurboTax. I’ve gotten the same exact email. I’ve spoke to several reps! And 2 managers that don’t know why exactly I received the email but have confirmed that it is not on its way yet!!! TurboTax finds different ways every year on how to get our hopes up or scam us.. that’s why they constantly get sued
I got the email really early yesterday morning and got the deposit this morning like 24 hrs later. I did pay the extra $25 to get it 5 days early. So if you didn’t get that, you may not get it that fast.
My refund tracker doesn’t even show I got the deposit or that it’s completed but I got the email yesterday and deposit today. My transcript says I’ll get it on Feb 10 and I paid the extra $25 and got it Feb. 5th. The reps don’t even know what they’re talking about because at the end of the day THEY CANT SEE YOUR IRS INFO!

A lot of people on here are just talking out of their ear. I too received the aforementioned email and spoke with a turbo tax supervisor on two separate occasions. This is the first year that TT has offered the 5 day early refund. The way it works, and I confirmed this with the IRS as well, is that they are notifying TurboTax as soon as they acknowledge the refund is done right and intends to be approved, that way TT can disperse the refund 5 days early. The email that everyone has received is valid. My understanding is that once you receive that email, TT has dispersed your refund to their partnering bank to take out fees (if you didn’t pay them up front) and then to you. I got this email two days ago and then received my refund today. When I first called, they said everyone should expect to see their refund within 72 hour of that email, which many people have. Those are the facts this year.
It’s not talking out of my ear. It’s getting an email. Which is made me to believe one thing and then it’s not the truth and all staff member I’ve spoken to about this hasn’t got an answer..
I didn’t say you were one of the people talking out of their ear. My man, take a deep breath. My response should have been comforting. You are getting your refund. It is on its’ way. When did you get the email from TT saying your refund is on the way?
