If I get a new email from turbo tax saying congratulations your refund has processed and is on its way ...is this a generated email or is it really on way

If the status on the IRS link has not updated, the refund has not officially been issued.  The "your refund has processed" just means that the IRS has accepted and processed the return.  The IRS requests up to 21 days to issue the refund once the return is processed but you can receive your refund quicker than that.  Hang in there, hopefully it will be to you soon!

Hi actually that’s not true on so many levels lol. I have gotten my refund several years before it actually has said “sent “ or “processed” on the IRS website . I was actually shocked at one point because it took days for it to update .

No. I just asked this same question to turbo tax and it was like talking to 5 year old. Don’t believe anything they tell you, including emails. I got the same email you’re referring to though the IRS hasn’t even touched my return yet. All turbo tax will do is hide behind their “you have to ask the IRS, it’s out of our control” disclaimer. That is their answer for 90% of any question you ask them, and I’ve asked a lot. Even if you paid extra for the “expert help,” turbo tax is worthless and they have been year after year. I’m stuck with them for now but can’t wait to try someone new.

Turbo tax reps seems to never know anything valuable when you call, I’ve been with them for 12 years and I’m switching to American tax relief next year. Doing with turbo and HnR block.

You do not know anyone’s personal life or situations to even make a comment like that. I’m not sure if you have been living in the US, but the majority is fighting some kind of financial stress. Paying bills and keeping a roof over your family’s head all year long. I’m happy truly that your life you can budget, but not everyone has that luxury, but if you do that’s great. Please keep your comments to yourself  if you have nothing to contribute.

are you getting eitc? I just seen I have a date for February 17th but I figured it would still drop at anytime? I file about a week before they where officially started processing returns

I also received this email, my return has not been processed and I don't have any transcripts available for the current year. So, kinda seems like a shot in the dark from TurboTax. I did opt in for the 5 days early, so we'll see. 

I did look at last year, I received the same email and got my deposit a week later.

It’s the email they always send they still go by the irs refund website so now don’t mean anything they send everyone who does taxes with turbo tax
