I've efiled Federal Return and it was accepted. Turbo tax says I can't efile. This has never has happened before. No unusual tax situations. Anyone else?

If you efiled and got accepted then what?  Are you trying to file again?  Where is Turbo Tax saying you can't efile?   Seems like you already did.

It's saying I can't efile my NY state return.  I expected that to be the case perhaps until 2/12 when Federal returns started being accepted via efile.  But no luck.

Are you getting a formset error?   Or if you check the e-file status of your state return, what does it say?

No forms error.  And it defaults to file by mail and when I check to file a different way it says e-file not available .

There are certain forms that will render your tax return ineligible to e-file. Please see this for more information: When a tax return can't be e-filed no matter what you do.

 

Also, depending on which forms you are required to file they may not be available for release in order to complete the e-filing process. Please see the links below for more information about your specific federal and state form status and availability:
