Did you see this message on www.irs.gov/refunds?
As of today, it may say:
" We have received your tax return and it is being processed.
Please check here or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go, to check on your refund status"
Rest assured, this is what most people, who have claimed EITC and/or ACTC, are seeing.
According to the IRS, those who have claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit and/or the Additional Child Tax Credit, will not begin to see their refund until 2/27.
Please see the following Turbotax FAQ for more information: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/5556415
So does that mean they just started processing their taxes or were they processing them when when the path act message was up . And would we have got a letter then when the path act message was up or are they going to start mailing letter now that the path act message is gone
The IRS began processing returns affected by PATH Act provisions on February 15. They will not notify you by mail about the processing via the act provisions unless there is a problem with your return that will delay your refund further. You can track the progress of the refund through the IRS Where's My Refund tool.
