I printed extension but now I don't need it

I printed the extension form, did not mail it, and now I do not need it. Should I mail it in anyway or just mail in my returns?

If you do not need the extension then you can just discard the Form 4868.

You should just mail your returns no later than Monday. The extension will not be needed if you get your returns mailed.
