I used Turbo Tax Online software. Am I right that after Turbo Tax Online shuts down in mid October I can download the .tax2019 data file myself? Or I've to request Turbo Tax to download it for me? If so, where do I send my request?  Thanks.

Every year, before mid-October, it is recommended that you print a copy of your current year tax return and save it as a tax file and pdf, too.  That way you will have it, if needed. otherwise, you will need to follow the instructions in the link below:

Unlike a PDF copy, your tax data file (.tax file) can be opened, read, and edited in the TurboTax CD/Download software. We'll automatically save your 2019 online return in both .tax and PDF formats once you file your return or when TurboTax Online shuts down in mid-October, whichever comes first.
