How do you delete a state return after you have registered???

You can't delete your state return if you already registered.

So then what do I do?  Can I choose to not efile it and just ignore it? I put in the wrong state, registered and realized it, then put in the right state.  Now it shows both states and me owing tax as a nonresident to the first one.

Yes, you can ignore the incorrect state you mentioned since you said it is not a residential state you do not need.
