I need a representative to help with my stimulus deposit

I used TurboTax to file my taxes.  I went through sbbt for the refund no early access.  On my return is my personal information for my refund. Do you know how my stimulus payment will be sent?

It depends. Only the method that was most recently used to file your tax return will most likely be used to issue the stimulus check. However, we have not yet received confirmation from the IRS on whether they will be putting stimulus payments on prepaid debit cards.

We have noticed that the IRS has started depositing stimulus payments on some prepaid debit cards for taxpayers that chose to receive their refund through that method in tax year 2019 or 2018.  If you received your refund on a prepaid debit card in tax year 2018 or 2019, here is what you need to know:

  • I have access to my debit card: If you have access to your debit card (most people), there is nothing more you need to do.  If the IRS deposits a stimulus payment onto your prepaid debit card, you will be able to immediately use the stimulus funds upon deposit.
  • I don't have access to my debit card: If you received a notification that you will be receiving your stimulus payment from the IRS on your prepaid debit card and no longer have access to it, we will have information coming shortly.  We encourage you to visit this site, where we are continually updating with the latest information and guidance. We know everyone is anxious to get their stimulus money and we are committed to helping our customers get access to their stimulus payment as fast as possible.

In order to deliver money as quickly as possible to those who need it, the IRS is sending stimulus payments to eligible taxpayers who filed a tax return in either 2019 or 2018 and chose to receive their refund via direct deposit into their checking account.

These taxpayers will automatically have their stimulus payment deposited into the account they received their refund.

Have you already e-filed?  If so, there is no way to go back and change this information in your return.

However, the IRS is rolling out the "Get My Payment" tool in mid April. According to IRS.gov, you can use the "Get My Payment" application (coming mid-April) to:

  • Check your payment status
  • Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or check
  • Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if we don't have  your direct deposit information and we haven't sent your payment yet.

Update your information

Direct deposit: Use the Get My Payment application (coming mid-April) to let us know your bank account information if we don't have your direct deposit information and we haven't sent your payment.

Check payment: If you moved since you last filed, let us know your new mailing address.

What if the irs website says the stimulus check was deposited to my turbo card on 4/15 and it's still showing a $0 balance

I need a representative to help with my stimulus deposit

@Jwh123 - contact the Bank - Greendot?

did you happen to check that the 4 digits on the IRS website matches your account number.  and that account number MAY BE different than your debit card number - logon to the Greendot website and verity that.

you will get a letter from the IRS in the next two weeks explaining exactly where the payment went.

if the IRS had the incorrect bank account number, they will be sending a check

Yes it matched not sure what the problem is

@Jwh123 did you match that debit card number to what greendot calls the 'account number' AT THE GREENDOT WEBSITE

I am not asking whether the debit card matched what the IRS had.

I have this sneaky feeling there are two numbers - the debit card number and the account number - you could only figure that out on the Greendot website.

If I am right and the IRS has the debit card number and not the account number, the direct deposit failed and a check would be forthcoming in the mail.

It was the account number that matched that's listed when I log in that's with the routing number that's the number it matched. I guess I'm gonna have to just wait and see what happens
