I'm helping my son finish his super easy taxes. His Kansas return keeps coming back as rejected because of form KS 40SVR which doesn't apply to him at all he's 20.

Does it matter that the instructions on the linked page say this update is only for the latest federal program update and you don't offer manual updates for TurboTax state software? Will this still fix the issue with the KS_40SVR submission error on the State returns?

When you say do the update, what are you referring for all of us to do? to go into our account- and proceed to continue on to hit the fix button and proceed to efile? I don't have turbotax software installed, I just log into my account on your website and do my taxes that way.  Are you talking about folks that use their cell phone to do their taxes, or your app? Please explain. Thank you. I look forward back to your reply 🙂

No. If you are using the TurboTax Online version it is updated automatically with any and all changes without any action on your part. 

TurboTax also has a CD/Download version of the software that many choose to use.  This software does update as well, but you must close and open the software for automatic updates or you can choose to update from the menu when you have the software open. Thank you for clarifying 🙂 I will tell you- after I saw there was an update posted in the community, I opened my chrome as usual and went to the turbotax website to do refile- and it did give me a notice on your website- that turbotax didn't support my version of chrome- so i had to do an update on my chrome browser. Just wanted to give a heads up if anyone else gets that message- to update their browser might help. Thank you 🙂

02/09/22, 9pm,  Updated software for KS40SVR fix and re-filed return, still rejected. I will try again this weekend, if rejected again then probably just mail it in. I don't think Turbo Tax has done their due diligence and quality control recently. I have been holding off doing a Windows 10 update because it killed my last computer and when I connect to the internet I'm trying to do an Intuit update and fighting off the Windows 10 reboot the entire time. I hate technology really, they control the software so they have constant ownership of your computer. Think that should be illegal and legislated on by our state representatives.

I would try the form delete again, I did it last night around 10:30 pm and it went through. I had tried 5 times before trying all the methods.

This has not been fixed. All updates loaded and no luck. Same error. Also will not accept zero.
