I have filed multiple w2's with turbo tax over the years and have never had to pay a fee. Why, when filing only one w2, am I now being charged a fee?

You can enter several forms W-2 in the Free edition of TurboTax so that is likely not the reason you are getting a fee.

If you started in the Free Edition of TurboTax, you may have entered something that triggered an upgrade to a paid version. The final fees are determined by the forms that are required to complete your individual return. States are also extra and there are some add-ons that  you can agree to buy

You can review your fees in TurboTax online as follows:

1. Go to the left side of your screen under "Tax Home"
2. Go to "Tax Tools" then "Tools"
3. The "Tools Center" Box will pop up
4. Click on "My Fees" to see a summary of your Turbo Tax Fees.
