If you do not live in a community property state the only information you would enter for your spouse, if you are still legally married, and filing as Married Filing Separately is their name and Social Security number.

and if you don't have the spouse's SS#, I believe it can be left blank, but it has to be mailed in - no efiling. I am not positive, but I think that is how it works.
