When i go to finish filing my file State California Tax using the TurboTax 2025 software I get to the let's complete your purchase online, I hit continue and get the message 

Hmm... it looks like we’ve hit a slight snag

Please try again or check back in a bit.

II had no problem e-filing my Federal Return, I have tried e-filing online too and get the same message.

It's possible that the forms needed to file your CA return are not yet available.  You can use the following link to check form availability - Form Availability in TurboTax.  Click on the down arrow to the right of TurboTax Online to select TurboTax Macintosh.  Select the return type and select CA under Select agency to see if all the forms are available.

I am running into exactly same issue. 

Federal taxes e-filed and accepted yesterday, no issues.

 

CA state taxes, when I try to efile, I am getting stuck at exactly the same msg as you did.

We tried for several days, and nothing changed. We eventually chose to just email the STATE RETURN and get it over with. Sorry, we couldn't be of more help ...

If you were able to complete the California return and are only having an issue with completing the purchase to e-file that return, try these troubleshooting steps:

 

  • Check your Internet connection. 
  • Logging out of TurboTax and back in, restarting your device, changing browsers (Chrome generally works well), or clearing your cache and cookies often helps. 


In addition, some Mac users encounter an issue on the screen where the user is prompted to pay for the California e-file.  The button needed to continue to pay may appear outside the visible screen. If that could be the case, try attaching a larger monitor so that the full text on the screen appears.
