I am at this screen on the desktop version of Mac.
I did not have any local taxes or any from the dropdown either but the software wont let me go past this screen.
Also, why is the software wondering what taxes I paid in 23 for 22? I don't know the net amount as I made an estimated payment then.
(Also, I have transferred my 22 taxes into the 23 software so suprised it cannot pick up on this on its own)

You're probably going to have to contact Support on Monday for Mac support.
In general, state and local taxes are deductible when paid, not when accrued. In order to claim the itemized deduction for state and local income taxes, the program needs to know when you actually paid the taxes.
It sounds like Turbotax thinks you paid some local tax on your 2022 return. So now it wants to know how much of the 2022 tax bill was actually paid in 2022, and how much was paid in 2023, because the amount that was actually paid in 2023 can be added to your other itemized deductions for 2023 even though it was for a previous year. You should have that information from your other records.
If you are in a situation where you pay no local income taxes at all, then there may be something funny with your tax file, as turbotax seems to think you did pay local taxes in 2022. Calling customer support may be the only way to get help.
Why are you showing us both Pennsylvania and Mass. local taxes?
I was just showing the drop down.
What is the support number?
