how do I get my desktop icon?

I had to reconfigure my operating system.  How can I get my Intuit turbotax reinstalled.

If you downloaded TurboTax, check your Downloads folder for a TurboTax install.exe file.  If you have it, double-click to re-install.

Otherwise, you may need to download the program again.  Here's How to  Download TurboTax Desktop.

Turbotax 2025 Premier seems to run OK (other than the business part is not yet implemented) but the desktop Icon does not show when I drag TT to the desktop. (creating an Alias)

 It does show when I place the shortcut to the dock.

The shortcut (without an Icon) on the desktop does launch TT, but just no Icon image.

Were you able to figure out how to get the icon? It should automatically appear. Are you using a PC or Mac?

I am running on a MacBookAir M2 on the latest version of Mac OS. 

The Icon does not show on the Alias when placed on the desktop.

It does show when placed in the dock.  The Alias (Shortcut) does how but only an outline of where the ICON should be.  Not a big problem.  I never saw this issue on other Mac apps.

I am a retired IT guy with experience on both Mac and PC.
