How do I enter the interest the IRS paid me with a refund, for which they sent a 1099-INT?

TurboTax's 1099-INT section seems only to want 1099-INT forms that came from banks.  When I tried typing in Department of the Treasury in that section, TT's response was it had not heard of that bank.  It has to be common that the IRS sends interest with refunds, especially when it's for an amended tax return for a previous year.

You can enter this manually pretty easily.

  1. Go to Wages & Income
  2. Scroll to Investments and Savings (1099-B, 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, Crypto)
  3. Select 1099-INT or Add Investments
  4. Relax. We got it. = Continue
  5. Let's import your tax info = Enter a different way
  6. Select Interest from the 5 boxes
  7. Type it Myself
  8. Continue the interview

OK.  That's what I did last year.  It just seemed like maybe I was supposed to enter it somewhere else in TT because of their wording, but this must be the right place.  Your instructions were helpful.  Thanks.
