How do I correct the residency on an unfiled CF-1040 for Grand Rapids?

Turbo Tax used "resident" but I only worked in Grand Rapids, not lived.  My tax due was calculated on the higher resident rate.

You can update your Michigan City return in the MI state interview to indicate you are a Grand Rapids nonresident.  Return to your MI state interview.   

1. Edit "Other situations" 
2. Revisit the Michigan City Tax topic. 
3. "Yes let's review"
4. Select "Grand Rapids Nonresident" 
5. Continue through the interview 
6. Edit the employer line
7. Yes income was earned in Grand Rapids
8. Verify the addresses and days worked in Grand Rapids
9. Continue through the topic interview

Thanks for your reply.  However, my State return has been filed and accepted, and the TT Deluxe no longer offers an interview for fixing City info.

It appears a 1040X for Grand Rapids can only be mailed in.  You'll need to use a copy of your originally filed return to complete the paper 1040X for Grand Rapids.  Here is a link to the form/instructions.  You'll need to click the 1040 amended form link.

Again, thank you.  But. 

Turbo Tax printed the forms for filing with the city of Grand Rapids.  I found the error before I mailed the return to GR. 

My issue is - now I have to complete the forms myself which isn't right.  TT should redo them.  Does this new information get me any closer to my goal?
