The only way to downgrade is to clear and start over.
To do this in TurboTax, follow these steps:
- From the left menu, select Tax Tools>
- Clear and Start Over
You would have to re-enter everything.
To switch to free file powered by TurboTax, log in to the Free File page with your TurboTax username and password. That way, you would not have to re-enter everything if you began from TurboTax.com and were not downgrading.
If you have self-employed income, it should be reported. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act provided a 20% off of net income discount for qualified businesses. If money was earned in 2019 for a job or service, it should be reported.
