How can I get in touch with a human at the IRS?

Every time I try to get in touch with the IRS I am never able to reach a human being. A representative gave me the IRS number followed by an extension number. Can anyone help? I would greatly appreciate it!

The best time to reach out to the IRS is early in the morning before their queue has had a chance to build.

Even when I try that, I am not able to get ahold of anyone. I had gotten a phone number, with an extension for IRS. Do you happen to have that phone number with extension?

No, we do not have access to your IRS account so we would not know what phone number you were given. We only have the IRS contact information that @MichelleLO provided.
