How can I fix a Reject code SA-F1040-027 for both federal and state?

To fix a reject code:

1. Sign in to TurboTax.
2. Select Fix my return to see your rejection code and explanation.
3. Select Fix it now and follow the instructions to update the info causing the reject.
   • If you need more help, search for the code in TurboTax to follow along with a help article.
4. Once you've fixed the error, select File in the left menu and follow the instructions to either e-file or file by mail.

I had the same issue and did some research on this. After 3 re-files, my federal was finally accepted.

The charitable contributions are limited to 50% of you adjusted gross income. In my case, I forgot to factor in my "carry-over amounts" in 2020 and 2019. I lowered the total charitable amounts to not exceed 50%, re-filed, and my federal was accepted.
