You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

Follow all of the prompts and Turbo Tax will walk you through it. You won't see it until you have completed your return and it is ready to file. Then the prompt will ask if you want to file electronically.

There is no such thing as sending your tax return by email.  There is the old-fashioned way---mail it in an envelope----or e-file it---which means that you send it electronically--but that is not by email--- it is a different means of transmitting your tax return quickly.      It takes longer for the IRS to process a mailed in return, so you might want to consider e-filing to get your refund faster.
