Hello, my W2 has a control number that wont be accepted but everyone in my work place has the same number and they could file. Mine does not have any letters in it

My control number is only 8 numbers long and I cant move forward in my tax return.

If the TT software is giving you a hard time about the control number, try just leaving it blank instead. The control number is not required. It is a number used by your employer, but the IRS does not require you to enter it.
