Hello my income is 1100$ and after filling tax i got 196$ can i know the reason how it happened

You got a $196 refund?  Or tax due?  if you only made $1,100 on a W2 you owe no tax and should get back any withholding taken out in box 2.  Did you have any other income?  Do you think 196 is too little or too much?

i got as a refund while my other friends got around 400-500$ in refund

Well how much withholding is on your W2?  You can only get a refund from that.  You would have to compare your return to theirs line by line and see which lines are different.  A lot of things affect it.  Like your filing status, are you married, do you have kids, etc.

If you only made w2 $1100 yo do not need to file a return except to get back the withholding in box 2.
