Hello, I paid the 20 dollars to e-file my California return and since I filed my federal; return several weeks ago the softare will not let me e-file my State

Im expecting 0 return for state but was willing to pay the discounted 20 dollars for the convenince, but now the software will not let my file State alone unless I file together but it says you already filed Federal so I cant filed State alone.

First, check your e-file status for the federal return using the TurboTax program.

Click on File at the top left of the desktop program screen

Then click on Electronic Filing>Check Electronic Filing Status

You should see that the Federal tax return was Accepted

If the Federal return has been Accepted -

Click on the File Tab at the top of the desktop program screen and Continue

Click on E-file and Continue

For the Federal tax return click on Do not e-file my federal return now and Continue

You should be able to e-file the state tax return.
