Hello everyone.. I use Mint and Turbo Tax, and am certainly willing to share my thoughts and ideas but do not have ambitions of devoting a lot of time here. I came to the site looking for input from others on resolving a problem.
What has happened is because I am new to iCloud and have been moving files around and back and forth I haver somehow managed to create several versions of the front end to my (Turbo Tax) return, which I want to send the IRS.
At this point I have a couple of "Returns" on my hard drive, plus a couple that are copies of others that are actually in my iCloud folder. And I have been struggling to know what combination to use, working more than usual with the worksheets and forms, taking my cues from prior years returne,, and am happy to say thwt the forms now seem to work with all of them which is good. And in installing the State worksheets I think I have identified the versions that Turbo Tax prefers. (Synchs more smoothly) So far so good.
Now I want to view and print copy of my return in advance of sending copies to the Feds and State, and that just isn't working.
I just haven't been able to put a front and back together and print it. I would be most grateful if anyone ccan provide any insight into how to get this working properly.

sorry. the name is Lee Callister,.
Not following what you've done. Sounds like you are using the Desktop program? You can print anytime. What printing problems are you having? Have you switched to the Forms mode? You can also print from there. Are you on Windows or Mac? Your tax returns end in .tax2021 and should be on your hard drive. Better figure out which return is the right current one and rename it so you know which one it is.
What do you mean which versions that Turbo Tax prefers?
Thanks Volvo girl (I used to have one of those.)
.tax2021 (which I would not have known) was helpful in finding the right combo, and the fact that I could print from various links and sources.
Yes on desktop and Mac ("icloud ref"). I know you didn't see it, but the central menu on my Dashboard was missing, and "print and review" at the end of the process just led to the Turbo Tax page not a print trigger, and I did not realize I could also print from the forms.
Which one was preferred meant that different dashboards showed different amounts for amount owed and refunds, and at times the form links were greyed out. But knowing that all with the .tax2021 tag should print helped me settle on one, massage my data, and print from forms, (which I did and can now verify) and I also found workable links to transmit. (I did have to download some of my financials from my broker again)
FYI I think any of the various instances of the Dashboard would have worked after some massaging of the data and forms with that one open.
So I think I am good to go.I wish Intuit had a searchable database that would better respond to non standard questions and issues like mine. Thanks for filling in the gaps in my knowledge.
