I wrongly indicated that "there were retirement distributions received in 2022 related to a disaster that occurred in 2021 or 2022" so Turbotax said I have to file a 8915-F, which I do not have. I went back and unchecked everything I think is related to this choice. I don't if I had missed it or it's a system bug, but after I unchecked them, Turbotax still said I need to file 8915-F. What should I do?

It worked. Thank you very much!
I am having the same issue with Turbo Tax. It keeps saying that I indicated that there were retirement distributions received in 2022 due to a disaster that occurred in 2021 or 2022. I made sure that I checked "no" in my 1099-R entry. I deleted Form 8915-F, but it keeps coming back when I do the review again.
Is there another way to resolve this issue? I am beginning to think that it is bug in Turbo Tax. I cannot edit the form either, so I don't know what else to do. Help?
We are aware that users are experiencing difficulty with reporting the deferred 2020 CARES Act distributions this year. Even if this is not the reason for your issue with Form 8915-F, the following may be of help.
Please see this thread for additional discussion on this issue and the workaround steps below:
Another option is to delete "Form 8915-F" and "Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement Distr" and then go back to the retirement section and reenter the information:
I was finally able to resolve the issue by deleting the "Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement Distr" form, which then resulted to the deletion of the Form 8915-F. I still think it is a bug in Turbo Tax that should be fixed as soon as possible.
Glad you were able to resolve it. The issue has been reported.
For those using the dowloaded version, be sure to delete the Qualified Distribution form as noted by a kind user above. This is the only way to remove the form 8915. Turbo Tax, please resolve this bug in future years. I've always used your platform but may have to reconsider if not resolved. Thank you.
I had the same issue. I clicked "Forms" and opened 8915-Worksheet. At the top of the page is a yes/no box that needed to unchecked. It fixed the problem. Hope it helps.
Also open forms for that specific for an make sure to uncheck any boxes or answer no
I'm pretty clear this is a bug in the system, Intuit knows about it they simply say file an extension. No matter what you try you cannot delete this form = Intuit is hiding and they're not coming clean with what the problem is they should at least say that we're sorry and we are working on it, so very uncool
CANNOT DELETE FORM 8915-F - TUBROTAX HOME & BUSINESS
I AM AN EXPERIENCE TURBO TAX USE - CANNOT DELETE THIS FORM
I AM CALLING ON A INTUIT BLOG MONITOR TO PROPERLY DIRECT.
INTUIT KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND IS HIDING
VERY DISAPPOINTING
