Free tax USA is very cheap basic business but so easy to use. Customer service responds in minutes. It handles 4562. It doesn’t handle FTC and FEIE. TurboTax is smug and could care less about the small guy or if you leave.

I agree. I'm losing my patients with Turbo Tax. It's certainly not the cheapest option out there.
Thaks for the update. But a key word I see in that update is the word "may" ... "wait for the software update, which may occur around Feb 13-14, 2026." Personally, I'm hopeful, but not feeling very confident.
After 20 years with turbo tax i jumped ship to tax act. It was free an easy to use. Only the state return has a cos. Besides the lack of support from the product specialists and from even their quality customer service team who gave me a call to rectify all this roll out issue I gave up because they drop the ball always. My biggest dissapointment has been Turbo Tax’s ability to convey a true status.. Just tell us It could be as late as mid February.
. By keeping me hanging on I lost faith in their sincerity and business model.
Ontop of this I’m tired of the constant emails from turbo tax asking why I have not completed my taxes ????? And that I’m now a new level member in this community!!! You neglected the most important thing. Help us get our taxes done easily.
I've been doing some searching online and came across this post. where I was originally filing an H&R Block desktop software, and they also do not have this form. I don't think this is necessarily a TurboTax only issue, and that most of the companies are waiting for this depreciation schedule, particularly for rentals, to come out. Others have said that other providers (freetax?) are ready, but that sounds unlikely because this is an IRS delay.
Form 4562 is ready; however, the work on that section of TurboTax is still in the process and is expected to be available later this week with the end of the week updates, February 20, 2026.
Why should we believe you this time?
If you have no asset additions, there is no Form 4562. This is perfectly ok as per the IRS.
I'm willing to bet that other commenters on this thread, just like myself, need this form to continue depreciation for existing assets.
Yes, I need form 4562 to enter my last year of a carryover of depreciation on Schedule E. My return filing has been held up for two weeks due to this form not being ready!
