My Tesla stock date acquired was 28/12/20. When I enter the date to Date Acquired section, it always failed.

The date format is incorrect. It should be MM/DD/YYYY. In this case it should read 12/28/2020.

Be sure to put in the full 4 digit year (2020) the abbreviated year will not work.
