why cant i update many of my federal deductions. i.e., medical, car registrations, personal property tax, etc.? I just get a blank screen. I've reloaded the disk 3 times and even had Turbo Tax send me a downlaod file with no help. I've been told 3 times now to wait for updates, but after 2+ weeks still nothing - HELP !!!

Dave, I went into the forms and entered my itemized deductions manually. The results are accurate and its a bit of a hassle finding your way through the forms but it worked for me. I have not heard anything from Intuit on the issue as yet nor has a fix been made as of this morning.

You've probably worked it out by now, but if not....and for others who may see this:
For Windows Desktop software Users only
.... this is the likely issue with anyone with a blank page during the running of Desktop TTX software.
.......TTX should only be installed and run as an Administrator..not in some guest account without administrator privileges...but it's hard to know each person's exact setup.
Exit TurboTax....then:
1) right click TurboTax 2018 icon
2) Select … Properties
3) Select the Compatibility tab
4) In the "Settings" box … check the box to "Run this program as an administrator"
