Please Please listen to what I have endured from using TurboTax this year. I filed my taxes on February 29 th 2020 then found out bc I have EIC the IRS would not be processing my return till February 15 th. After waiting 21 days for an update I got a letter from the IRS that I needed

to fill out a 8962 and send in a copy of my 1095 A and now it will be 6-8 weeks before I receive my refund . I was never given the

option to file my 1095 A while using the TurboTax site I just assumed bc nothing had changed that I didn’t need to . Now after talking to so many people on so many forums I realize this is a TurboTax issue .

I paid 190.00 and I won’t get my refund till April. I am looking to file a class action law suit for all the aggravation and money wasted using TurboTax this year . I know that there is so many people

who are going through what I have been through . When I contacted the IRS the man said every call all day long is about the 1095 A not being filed with this years TurboTax program. Please if you can respond to this message and you have experienced this aggravation please let me know then I will give you a number to call. I am getting my money back no matter what . I’m so frustrated and TurboTax knows there is an issue and don’t care. Thank you . Tammy .

Your story is almost identical to mine...this should not be the taxpayer's fault or mistake.  I'm still waiting on my return and the forms were faxed 3/9.

Hi,

I filed in February through TurboTax, received a letter from IRS to which I replied immediately on March 1 with 8962 and 1095a. Letter said 6-8 weeks, but it is July 7 and still no refund. Very unhappy TurboTax user.

Unfortunately, the IRS offices closed in early March and have only recently begun to reopen.

There was no one at the IRS offices to process the form that you submitted, resulting in the delay.  The 6-8 week time frame referenced in the letter refers to normal conditions.  The IRS is processing items previously submitted in the order received but they have not given any time frame for processing.

I filed my original return on TT 1/30/20. Received IRS notice that it didn't include 8962. I followed the letter, faxed the form on 3/17/20. I STILL haven't received my refund of nearly $7000. Sitting on hold with the IRS for hours at a time and no one answers. TT can't help now that it's in the IRS's hands. My online tax transcript says that I never submitted my federal return at all for 2019. I'm worried that is going to cause a problem with my 2020 return....

If it's been more than 60 days since the return was accepted  then you can ask for help from the Tax Payer Advocate office:

At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your IRS Taxpayer Advocate.

http://www.irs.gov/uac/Contact-a-Local-Taxpayer-Advocate

If you are unsuccessful with the Taxpayer Advocate for your area, you can also try the special IRS phone number for the Taxpayer Advocate Service at 877-777-4778.

if you got a notice from the IRS about a missing form that means they got your return.  do not submit a second copy.  all you can do is call.

I have called at least once a week since August. Sometimes I get a recording that due to high volume, they can’t take my call and to try calling back the next business day. Other times, I’ll wait on hold for 45 minutes or more to have the call dropped. Today, I finally got a person on the line. After verifying my identity she put me on hold and got disconnected. I want to know if my fax was received or not. If they don’t have a record of it, I’ll Mail the paper copy. But everything I’ve read has strongly suggested that I don’t do both.
