Downloaded 2015 TurboTax is not responding

Way back in 2016, I installed TurboTax 2015 from a CD, which I probably can't find now. It is on my old Windows 10 laptop. I'm currently downloading and installing the Windows updates.

When I click on the the exe file, nothing happens. ( TurboTax 2022 will eventually open and ask about updates). Is the Windows update going to fix this, or do I have to uninstall and reinstall?

2015? Why are you even messing with 2015 software? TurboTax no longer supports software older than 2021, nor do they provide updates for it. Sorry.

Some relatives were told by IA Dept of Rev to file 2015 IA 1040--state says they owe a lot-- need to actually calculate and file.

Sorry---you are unlikely to get accurate results even if you could manage to use that old software. Your family member might be better off seeking local paid pro tax help.
