I already read that before I asked this question. I have gone into Turbo Tax and clicked the "Fix it" button. I have also re-verified every single place my SS # was input and re-checked my W2's and all of my other documents I used while filing...just to make certain my SS # was valid and correct. It was. There was no typo by me or by my employer. I have done my taxes for the last 7 years at Turbo Tax and NEVER had an issue with my SS/TIN not matching previous docs. So after doing everything I could on my end to clear the reject code of IND-452, I am now reading that I have to print and mail my taxes in, instead of e-filing. Is this correct? If so can I just print out a copy of the one I downloaded from Turbo Tax?
If I can do that, and I have the mailing address, how do I handle the fees that I paid to Turbo Tax? When I go into my account, it always takes me to the "FIX IT" screen and tells me to verify everything to make sure I didn't input something wrong and then takes me through every single screen AGAIN. Just want to make sure that's correct and that I just change my info from e-file, to print/mail.
I'm so frustrated...even if I print and mail it, what do I do about the fact that someone else filed their taxes using my SS # (since IRS is saying my taxes are already filed under my SS#). I'm a widow, and single...No one in my family filed my taxes for me...So WHO did? And don't I need to tell someone?? This is terrifying. and I need help.
