I have made a mistake on my tax return and had to amend it, which caused my parents to be unable to e-file their tax return this year (they filed in via TurboTax at first, but it got rejected because of the mistake).
I wanted to know which forms/files I have to include when mailing tax forms. Also, since this is because of me amending my tax return, should I attach my amended tax form along with my parents' tax forms? This is for the federal and state tax refunds.
We have already filed for an extension, by the way!

Thank you for your reply! However, I already amended my tax form. It is mainly about my parents, since they now have to actually mail their tax form due to a dependent amending their taxes. I just wanted to know if I had to attach my amended tax return (I have the pdf of it on turbotax), in addition to my parent's tax form and W-2 when mailing taxes!
If your parents have filed an initial tax return and wanted to make changes, you will include the amended tax return and the 1040-X.
Turbo tax will give instructions of what to include.
Be sure they sign the tax return and the 1040-X.
Thank you! Just to clarify that I understood this correctly, my parents will add their tax forms (they initially e-filed it, but it got rejected because of a mistake on my tax form) and my amended tax return with the corrected mistake and the 1040-X, which they will sign (I'm assuming there is a place to sign). Is that correct?
No, your parents just need to paper file their return.
