Deductible

My friend has a son in prison. He sends money, buys him care packages and anything his son wants. Is any of this tax deductible?

Deductible

No, none of it is deductible. It's just gifts from a father to his son, which are not tax deductible. The fact that the son is in prison doesn't matter.
