Customer service!

I remember calling in last year & the year before if I got stuck on something while filing my taxes.  Can we no longer call in?  I sure hope that's not the case!  I am having an issue inserting my 1099 info!

There is still phone support for Deluxe and above.  Or post your questions here.   What kind of 1099?  A 1099Misc?

You can enter 1099Misc Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe or Premier but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Self Employed version.

Hi, well come to find out from one of the customer service reps, being that I did not earn over $500 on that particular situation, I did not even have to file it.  My other issue is that when I was asked how I wanted to receive my refund,  I did not see the Rapid refund advance option, which is how I wanted to receive it.   I went onto the Intuit payroll card page & I signed up & I will be receiving the card, but how do I get my refund on it once I receive the card?  I HAD to choose an option on turbo, so I chose my for refund to go into my checking for direct deposit.

Couple things.  Don't know what you got the $500 for but you have to report all your income even if you don't get a 1099Misc.  The payer doesn't have to give you a 1099Misc for under $600 but you still have to report it.  Even if you get $1 of bank interest without a 1099Int you have to report it.  If it was for 1099Misc self employment income you have to pay self employment tax on it.  The customer service rep was wrong or you didn't understand them.

 

To get the refund advance it had to be offered to you before you filed.  Only certain customers get the offer.  You can not select it yourself.  Info on Refund Advance

If you put down your checking account it will be deposited into that.  Don't think the card will do anything for you.

I understood her just fine.  She was incorrect if what she said isn't right.  Maybe the phone call was recorded & they can find the person & retrain them.   Either way, my taxes are now filed..

O, that's a good link to the Rapid Refund.  I think they should offer it to ALL Turbo customers, especially if you meet the refund threshold.   I know I am very disappointed that I did not qualify for it!! 👎👎
