TurboTax provides software for a self-prepared return. TurboTax has no way to know if you have entered all of your income completely and correctly. That responsibility is yours. Below is a checklist that may help you get together all of the information you might need to prepare your return.

The best you can do, really, is to review your return and compare it to all of your tax documents. There’s no real central repository of data that you can go to, to verify your information.
To preview your return for comparison:
In TurboTax Desktop:
Click on Forms in the upper right corner.
Once you’re in Forms mode, you click on your Form 1040 to open.
In TurboTax Online:
Click Pick up where you left off if it’s on your screen.
Click on Tax Tools in the left pane.
Click on Tools.
Click on View Tax Summary.
Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.
