Charles Schwab import got BLANK bank login screen

I have Desktop version. Tried to import tax forms from Charles Schwab, followed the steps but received BLANK bank login screen. Have no way to enter CS login account and password. This has nothing to do with CS account security setup because even cannot get into CS system.  Checked this community, there are many people with exactly the same problem but the complaints were buried under other complaints. Hopefully this question can been seen by Turbotax Support team.

Charles Schwab import got BLANK bank login screen

I finally resolved the problem. Hopefully my solution would help you all with the BLANK Bank Login screen.

1. Install TT to laptop with WIN 10.  (The BLANK screen happened in WIN 11 laptop. ) The login screen popped up. But still got "Login temporarily unavailable" ERROR after trying to log in 25 times at least.

2. Checked community discussion that one user was able to get in at 4am in the early morning.

3. Tried again next day at 1:20 am pacific standard time. The import from CS was finally successful done.

****  To TT support team: I tried again in WIN 11 laptop at 1:46 am. Hope the BLANK screen will be filled with CS login/password entry screen, but the BLANK screen still there without any luck. *** Hopefully my comment would help your team to fix the problem.

not unusual for Sunday. they perform maintenance which makes the server unavailable.

Not only happened on Sunday. According to this community discussion, the similar complaints have lasted for at least "two weeks". I already tried to import CS for almost one week.  I called TT support today, but had no luck. My case was closed with " has been Resolved " title.  Is this the way how TT resolves the problem?

Charles Schwab import got BLANK bank login screen

3/7/2022 - I am getting blank screen when trying to download statements from Schwab.   I can access the tax forms on Schwab today, but would rather download into TT.

I've used TT for over 10 years.  This year is the first time having multiple problems.

Charles Schwab import got BLANK bank login screen

I got the "isn't any tax-related data to import" notice even though I downloaded my tax forms from CS directly..... so not a blank screen. This is when I tried to import to my desktop Windows 10 PC.  So this seems to work at odd hours?? I tried again now and same message. When I asked CS about this they said they have multiple complaints and the problem is on the TurboTax side, not theirs.

Charles Schwab import got BLANK bank login screen

Today, March 8, the import worked for TurboTax Windows desktop version.

It did not work yesterday.

I do not know if something was fixed, but I did the following:

1) after loading TurboTax, I logged into TurboTax.

2) (a) opened a browser (Microsoft Edge) and logged into TurboTax online

(b) opened a new tab (not a new window) and logged into Schwab.

in Schwab I chose to "remember device".

(c) in Schwab I went to SecurityCenter|ThirdPartyAccessToAccountInformation - Confirmed third party checked

(d) in Schwab I went to SecurityCenter|ThirdPartyAccessToAccountInformation - clicked on "TurboTax" arrow and selected both "current Schwab brokerage accounts" and "Automatically link...."

3) (a) Went back to TurboTax windows desktop application and opened current tax file

(b) selected Schwab for import and followed directions to log in. A screen to accept legal terms came up which I accepted (not reading since not a lot of choice in declining), and import worked.

(c) checked import and totals matched pdf of 1099 I downloaded from Schwab site.

Note on Step 2:
I did this because the TurboTax import popup for Schwab, and comments from other replies, implies a browser is happening behind the scenes to link TurboTax and Schwab.

Edge is my preferred browser in Windows settings. If Edge does not work, it might be due to a different preferred browser (like FireFox, or you have multiple browsers loaded on your PC.
So, if it does not work, open TurboTax and Schwab the same method in all the browsers on your PC.

The key is one has to update the TurboTax software, at least today that worked.

Charles Schwab import got BLANK bank login screen

I've tried every option everyone has listed and can't get a login screen to come up for Schwab. It just returns to the blank screen.  I also saw some posts that said it was related to Windows 11, which I have. Is there any way to get this to download? I've deleted cookies, changed Schwab password, tried a new web browser and nothing works.

Those aren't the same issue I'm having but I tried it anyway. It still didn't work. Customer service told me that the program isn't compatible with Windows 11. Disgraceful!
