Carryover of 2020 State Tax Refund to 2021 not automatically included in State return

• Information supplied when filling out federal return regarding 2020 State refund carried over to 2021 is not picked up automatically in NC state return.  The amount of the carryover can be manually entered as “other credits”, but this should (or could) be automatically included in the state return to avoid having to enter the same information twice.  In my case I supplied the information when clearly requested on the federal return, but did not notice the amount was not automatically included on the state return and I overpaid my state taxes.  (Fortunately, the state caught the error and refunded the amount I overpaid.)
