When doing my taxes with Turbotax, I chose to manually send a check with the vouchers vs. efile? I noticed that the IRS has a direct pay option and I paid it online instead of mailing the voucher with a check. I did received the confirmation attached from Turbotax that the IRS did confirm my 2024 submission in early March. I wanted to make sure that this will not get screwed up since I did not chose efile when submitting. I did get confirmation from the IRS that they received my payment. Should I be concerned?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
That notice indicates that the federal and state tax returns were e-filed.
You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
It is complete, and confirmed. But I'd like you to clarify:
In any case, the IRS has record of the payment and will adjust based on that information.
It was for money owed for 2024 tax period as a final payment, not estimated taxes.
In that case I would not be concerned.
