Can't I file as head of household even if I'm married. My husband and I don't live together and we live in different state.

Yes.

You can file as Head of Household if among other conditions, your spouse did not live in the home during the last 6 months of the tax year.

you also need a qualifying dependent living with you to claim HOH.
