Can’t find 2021

I’m having the hardest time trying to file my 2121 taxes. The FTB has contacted me saying I didn’t file my taxes for the state. I have until 1/28/2026 to get this done. I’ve tried everything. Can someone please help me?

Software is no longer available from TurboTax to prepare a 2021 return, nor would it be supported or provided with updates even if you find it on eBay etc. Any refund from tax year 2021 has already been forfeited but if you owe tax due, you owe with late filing penalties and interest.

Seek local paid tax help or google other tax software that might still provide 2021 software. And...the return can only be filed by mail.

You could also try getting the 2021 forms from the state to prepare by hand and mail in. You will need information from your q2021 federal return.
