I am being offered a new entry so that I can report the issue to experts...
When I try to enter my property tax payments, TurboTax Deluxe [desktop, Mac] offers me the options:
"Skip for now" or a pencil icon "Enter info".
If I choose "Enter info", TurboTax immediately returns to the Deductions and Credits level.
I can't enter anything.
Fix this please!
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
Thank you for the link to the phone number, rjs!
I would never have found it!
When I tried to look at my first entry, the website offered me the option of posting an entry for "experts", so I tried to do that.
As you can see by my second post, the answers offered to me were of no value.
I am not on Windows. I always update TurboTax to the lastest (as it offers to do) whenever I start it up.
Thank you for your help!
The TurboTax update (macOS) on Jan 10 fixed the issue.
My normal process is to use the "early" release of TurboTax to do a final tax estimate before the end of the year, but the 2024 early release was NOT functional.
The property tax failure was not the only deficiency. It would not allow me to enter a pension distribution amount. It said that I need to wait until Jan 11 and download the amount directly from my fund!
I canceled my subscription to the early release. There is no benefit.
Who is offering you a "new entry"?
Did you try the suggestions in the replies to your earlier post of the same question?
Please don't post multiple questions about the same issue. When information is scattered in multiple threads it's confusing and hard to follow, and hard to see the whole picture. If you want to add more information or post a follow-up question, add a reply to your original question.
If you wish, you can call TurboTax support about the problem. You do not need a separate post in order to call.

I having the same issue as well, where I am unable to enter property tax information and when I click "Enter Info" it takes me back to the main deduction and credit screen
Same problem, clicking on "Enter Info" returns me to the Deductions and Credit Page.
Program is updated every time I begin. This is occurring as of Jan 9, 2025

Jan 11 & I still have the problem, but I'm on a PC. Win Version 024.000.0269.
Wow, the board software interpreted the Win version number I posted as a phone number and removed it! If Intuit can do that, they can fix this problem!!
Win Version
024.
000.
0269
Same Issue with WIN10, latest TT updates.
I had the same problem! My work around was by going to forms and entering the information on the Schedule A. It worked and now my property tax shows on my deduction page!

Good solution, and it worked.
BUT - If Intuit is following this thread, they need to make the correction to the step-by-step entry.
As a previous Beta tester for Intuit TurboTax and Quicken, we used to catch simple items like this before they released the software. But since we were highly paid (by giving us a free copy of the soltware) they eliminated us to save money and move out of San Diego. Not sure who does the Beta testing now, but they missed this one.
