Can't E-File because box B needs filled on 1099-b

I have completed all of my taxes, to the point that i've already paid for the service and am trying to send the e-file. When I try to file, I get told there is something I need to review and am taken to a page that says I need to fill in the date of acquisition for a particular stock on my 1099. There is already a date in the box they say is empty, but I put a date in the field anyway and hit continue. After thinking for a bit it just send me right back to the same page saying I need to enter a date of acquisition. I have tried to put in the date and continue at least 10 times and am stuck in the same loop.

Make sure you are putting the date in the format the program wants.  Could be mm/dd/yy or mm/dd/yyyy

Thought about that, date format I entered  is correct.

That's all I got......It almost seems like that might be a tech question.  If it is typing in but program not recognizing the input.  Might want to point that one toward the tech folks.
