Yes, you can file an amended return in TurboTax in about a month when the option is made available for this year.
The IRS doesn't have anything called a "superseding return". If you file your return and it is accepted, and you need to correct it later, you do so by filing Form 1040-X.

Your reply references an amended return, the original question and mine as well asks about "superseding 1040 return" as referenced in the following IRS web page.
My hope is that TurboTax has included this capability but I cannot find any reference to it in TurboTax.
Following is paragraph three from this IRS we page.
"Additionally, a new, electronic checkbox has been added for Forms 1040/1040-SR, 1040-NR and 1040-SS/1040-PR to indicate that a superseding return is being filed electronically. A superseded return is one that is filed after the originally filed return but submitted before the due date, including extensions."
My Question is how to open the page form that has that "electronic checkbox".
The link you provided goes to an error page. However, this is still the 1040-X which is the amended return form. It is just a timing difference and wording difference based on timing. So, yes, most tax payers can file the 1040-X electronically through TurboTax.
IRS: Taxpayers now have more options to correct, amend returns electronically
