Hah it did it again
The state I have with the return is California
I looked at your sanitized 2024 tax file.
Is the problem you identified that your 2024 return, in the breakdown of business income, doesn't show 1099-NEC, -MISC, and -K income for 2023?
Are those income items missing altogether or are they included in the General Business Income line?
@
They are missing all together from the prior year, but they were entered in 2023. When you go in to enter 1099 info for 2024 there is no prior year 1099 amounts displayed. It has been this way for a number of years. It happens with 1099 NEC, MISC and K from what I can see. The general income is the amount less all the 1099 income. It did not roll up into the general amount number.
I think the TT software is grouping the prior year NEC & MISC "business" amounts and loading them into the prior year "personal" 1099 income area
The 1099 K prior year amounts I don't see anywhere else, so I think those are not coming into the current year anywhere.
Thank you. Does the amount you see in the 2023 column for 1099-NEC in the Personal income section match the missing amounts in the 2023 column of the Business section? Screenshot from sanitized file follows:
Yes, It is grouping both business 1099 NEC & MISC amounts from the prior year and displaying that combined amount in the prior year "personal" 1099 NEC.
The 1099 K data that I have for only one of my two businesses does not show up in the Business or personal area as a prior amount.
Thank you again for reporting this issue and supplying the data file. I am reporting this issue for further investigation.

The rest of the discussion is in your other thread. It appears that TurboTax Home & Business is taking the 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC income reported in the Business section and populating the the prior year column in the Personal section the next year.
