I have the same problem, I deactivated anti-virus, firewall and reset modem but TT server can't connect to my PC. Changing resolution did nothing. I have Kaspersky installed but as noted disabled it, also went into Windows settings and deactivated what I could, still no connection.
Any other suggestions?
@RoofCat29 - please confirm your problem is with activation..... also, do you have a new computer (purchased after OCt 10, 2020) with Windows Version 20H2? (start>settings>system>about)
Thanks for comment, after successful installation of TT I launch it and type in license code and popup window says "We've run into an issue connecting with your computer and can't launch TT" and provides various solutions which I have attempted with no prevail.
I have done method 1, 2 and 3 noted on above TT support page. I have hesitated to attempt Method 4 "IP config"
My computer is many years old, I have purchased TT since 2016 with no such problem. I upgraded to Win10 years ago and have not yet updated to V20H2.
I have also attempted to activate on TT site, "activate.turbotax.com" and it seems not to recognize 16-digit code supplied in email purchase from Costco.

I have the same problem - the activation dialog box is a blank white box with no way to enter the code. The solution described by DoninGA to change the screen resolution DID FIX this problem for me. I was able to enter the activation code and then change the screen resolution back to normal and keep using the TurboTax program. Thank You DoninGA.
bought deluxe from costco wont down loaded try togo to installtubotax.com create a accuont still cont not
I finally spoke to a TT representative and they walked me through a long process. Basically uninstalled TT and my Kaspersky, deactivate Window firewall and protection.
Do reinstall of TT, perform TT updates. Then I reinstalled and activated my security software.
I may have omitted something it was a 1.5 hour phone call.
It worked. But I had to restart Turbo Tax before the change in resolution fully took effect and I was able to type in my activation code. Thank you so much for the solution.
Changing
changing resolution worked for me; but, I had to save, then close TT, reboot, then restart TT. I was able to put in the code and it was accepted. Closed TT, changed resolution to the recommended for my computer, restarted TT and it worked fine.
