I have a 32 inch 6K resolution mac screen. I can see the Show Schedule D tab at the base of the window, so it's definitely not a scroll issue. This is not the issue.
I have updated Turbo Tax and the Mac to the latest versions. No joy. Still getting a blank screen. PLEASE ESCALATE THIS ISSUE.
I worked with their tech support team for over an hour on the phone on this.
In the end, their solution was to give me a code so that I can upload, modify, and file on-line for free. I think this is them surrendering.
What channel/address/number did you use for Tech support? I may just file the 1040X myself by hand....
Here is how to contact TurboTax Customer Service.
Well, it would seem that Support just flat-out lied.
I had to ask how to upload my tax return file, because there's no link to do that, and the consensus response is "Nope. There's no way to do that."
Me Too. 2023 Desktop version on Sequoia 15.2. I'll try to do it manually or go to a different Vendor. Sigh.
Please clarify that you are trying to amend your 2023 return and exactly where in the process you have problems proceeding. Also, please share any errors or onscreen messages that you see.
I was trying to amend the 2023 return. My issues were document in the post above. I have since given up on TurboTax and moved to filing through a local CPA.
Have you looked into the fix for this. Seems there are a lot of us with this same problem.!!
Update: I worked for hours with Intuit Support. I suggested they send me the Home and Business version (I was using Premier). When launched it still said premier.. couldn't figure out why.. BUT I started a new return and went into this section and it allowed me to enter the 1099-B. I entered all 5 that I needed only to realize that you can only import last years info BEFORE entering any information. Was able to launch a new return, imported last year and then able to input the 1099-B's. This was a crappy work around because I ended up opening my 2023 return side by side with the new one. Went through line by line making the updates to my new return. Everything looked great, printed my return and noticed an error. Went back in to create a new one and same blank screen error happened again. It was for a -$24 entry which I'll have to eat. Not spending all day doing this again. Turbotax you can and should do better in fixing these problems when reported.
I received the same blank screen error and worked around it.
Click on "forms" in the top. Then click command-F to search, and enter 1099-B. You should see 1099-B worksheet. (You might need to have an existing 1099-B for this to work.) Don't click on open. Instead double click on the 1099-B line. Oddly, this brings up a menu to make a new form (via a copy, but it copies only the blank form). Then select the second option "Enter Name of Broker" - for example, "Morgan Stanley Corp." The click open. This will give you a new sheet where you can fill in the broker name and the first transaction. Then you can switch back to EasyStep (top menu) and instead of trying to add a new 1099-B and getting the blank screen, you can edit the existing one that you added through the forms.
@windsurfdrew you're my hero!
This is a life saver reply. Thank you!
