Interest from a bank account is reported on Schedule B.
If you have interest income from your bank or investment account, it does go on Schedule B. There is no other place to record interest income on a Form 1040. The effect on your taxes should be minimal if any. If you did not receive any interest or dividend income you can delete form B. Go to view forms & delete.
