Had all the right information from the Ally/Apex 1099 I downloaded from All Bank directly and it still returned a problem multiple times today.
Frustrating
My bank said to call TT, so will email them directly
still not working for me. tried combinations of account number/username/email and passwords of ssn/TIN/Apex password. nothing.
ugh.
Tried today (Friday) with no luck.
If you don't mind, what bank? I'm curious if it's apex across the board or just specific banks
Ally Bank for me.
And I'm trying to import Apex 1099s to TT for Stash. I really think this is a TT and/or Apex issue vs a computer/settings issue or specific to any one bank or company. I can't get a straight answer from either TT or Apex (who never pick up their phones) whether the connection has finally been made and the 1099 documents, which are definitely available, have been "released"
Just tried again (1:45pm EST) ... and it worked. They must have finally fixed the connection.
Thanks! Yes, as of 1:53 pm did experience a successful import from Apex.
So there is no way to upload the transactions as there are over 10k.
I printed out my tax return, and it did not automatically add an 8453 form prepopulated.
Do i just get this online, or will TT generate it after I file?
Since you have so many transactions, use the Summary Method to report category totals. This is perfectly acceptable since the IRS already has copies of all your 1099's.
Form 8453 is confirmation for Efiling. Keep it for your records.
Then why does turbotax tell me to physically mail on my 1099b with that form?
Whether you need to mail your form depends on the type of transactions you have. Here's more info Mailing Form 8949 for Summary Totals.
I have to mail it in as I have wash sales.
Will turbotax print the forms after i we file, or do I need to find them on the irs website?
