Can anyone advise how to import my Apex Clearing 1099 into TT?  I tried using my Apex account number for user name

Appears to be a TT issue.  Spoke with Apex Clearing and they indicated that TT must not have updated their file that they submitted to them this past Saturday.  (According to Apex and for my brokerage account, Apex is no longer requiring the 10- pre account number and instead is only using the 8 digit account number plus SS for password)

Tried a million times but never worked

The guide seems to be new enough that it was updated 2/2/2021

I am surprised they haven't updated their database

It worked fine last year but there must be a change/bug that need need to work through for the 2021 tax year.

Same problem. Account number and Tax ID don't work. Neither does user name and password. I'm paying Turbotax to make it easier for me to file taxes. If I have to enter everything manually, what's the point!

Update: It's working for me now with my Apex username and password.

still not working for me. tried combinations of account number/username/email and passwords of ssn/TIN/Apex password. nothing.

ugh.

So...curious how this is solved if someone already has an Apex account? I've tried all the fixes, none of them work right now. This is the kind of thing I pay for, if I can't import and link to a site, then there isn't much of a point in using turbotax.

@dkr20 Please try this tip from a TurboTax community member.

I already tried that. As mentioned in the first message. I have an account with Apex Clearing that I used last year, so was expecting that to work, yet neither that nor the fix you suggested work for me.

So, I have the same problem here in year 2023, trying to put in Account ID and Tax ID (SS) as my password and TT does not allow me to login always reports login incorrect error? please advise on how to fix this? thanks.

Please note that I have tried all the solutions as mentioned in this community thread and none seems to be working for me.

When I had the same problem last year, it resolved automatically after a few weeks. I guess it just takes time for Apex and Turbotax integration to work?

I hope it gets working sooner, and if this apex has not given 1099 forms yet, could this also be one of the factors adding to this login issue?

I just enter 1099s manually. Then I know it was entered correctly, and it takes about 3 minutes to do.

This is an old post, but I am not able to connect Apex. I followed the instructions with my account number and social. It says it is incorrect.

I have a Apex username and password that works on the actual site, but it will not let me update it.

Any suggestions ?

I'm using Desktop 2025

Thanks

I'm not sure if this is a similar issue but you can try these things:

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.

To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings:

  1. Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL.
  2. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu.
  3. Toggle the switch to ON.
  4. Refresh the page and attempt your import again.

If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play:

  • Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements.
  • Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back.
  • Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser.

Thanks - there is a chance that the brokerage firm has not yet specifically "released" the import file to TurboTax.  I plan to re-attempt the import at a later, date.

Experiencing for 2 accounts the same inability to import data to TT from Apex - hopefully TT and/or Apex will resolve this soon after the long week-end when the forms became available (2/15/26).  Entry of "10" before the account # was applicable 2 years ago...  however, neither with nor without the pre-fix results in a successful data transfer at this time.

My forms were available 2.11.2026

Could it be just not available to link until 2.16, or buisness day after?

Thanks
