I filed my federal 1065 return in early March, but held off on filing my Pennsylvania state return. A late-received 1099 required filing an amended federal 1065. The amended state return that was generated includes a 1065x form. I assume I would definitely include that if I were actually amending a filed state return. But since I have not yet filed an incorrect 1065 in my state return, do I include or omit the 1065x? (The 1065 form generated in my "amended" state return has the correct numbers on it.)

You should not file the amended form for the state, as you can't amend a return that has not been filed. You corrected the state return before you filed it, so file that one.

I'm grateful for the guidance. Thanks.
